چکیده

In this paper we investigate the performance of output threshold maximum ratio combining (OT-MRC) and minimum estimation and combining generalized selection combining (MEC-GSC) scheme with dual branches over correlated Nakagami-m fading channels. The OT-MRC and MEC-GSC schemes select the minimum number of diversity branches such that their combined received signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is above a certain pre-determined target SNR that is set to meet the required quality of service (QoS). Based on the joint probability density function (PDF) and moment generating function (MGF) of the combined received SNR, the performance comparisons of dual OT-MRC and MEC-GSC over correlated Nakagami-m fading channels are presented.

Performance of Dual MRC Receiver for M-ary Modulations over Correlated Nakagami-m Fading Channels with Non-identical and Arbitrary Fading Parameter

Performance of a dual maximal ratio combining receiver has been analyzed for M-ary coherent and non-coherent modulations over correlated Nakagami-m fading channels with nonidentical and arbitrary fading parameter. The classical probability density function (PDF) based approach is used for analysis. Expressions for outage probability and average symbol error performance for M-ary coherent and no...

A Threshold-Based Generalized Selection Combining

The severity of fading on mobile communication channels calls for the combining of multiple diversity sources to achieve acceptable error rate performance. Traditional approaches perform the combining of the different diversity sources using either: the Conventional Selective diversity combining (CSC), Equal-Gain combining (EGC), or MaximalRatio combining (MRC) Schemes. CSC and MRC are the two ...

Performance analysis for MRC and postdetection EGC over generalized gamma fading channels

In this paper, we provide a unified analysis of average symbol error probability (SEP) for a diversity system over generalized gamma fading channels, which is a generalization of Rayleigh, Nakagami, and Ricean fading channels. We consider independent generalized gamma fading on the diversity branches and derive different closed-form expressions of the average SEP for a general class of M -ary m...
